UPDATE: Monday, July 29th, 2019 in the Commissioners’ Chambers, the KPFD Board of Directors voted to decide with projects would receive funding. The South Kitsap Community Events Center was voted the #1 project, ensuring we would be funded! Over the last few months, several proposals have been put forth to the KPFD for community projects seeking funding. Remember back to March, when we rallied in Silverdale? 100+ people from SK filled the room as we presented our project. The last few months has been a waiting game as other projects presented their requests for funding. THE WAIT IS OVER and we now have home field advantage for the very first time! The decider meeting, the meeting where the finalists will be revealed is in PORT ORCHARD.
